The Harlem Renaissance was a movement that started in Harlem, New York. This movement was an extremely artistically, politically, and historically important event for the African-American community. This movement lasted from the early 1920's into the mid 1930's. This movement gave the African-Americans a voice, as this movement included a large amount of protest to the, at the time, current political system and social system. This movement created large amounts of art and artists that we treasure today, and this wouldn't have been possible without The Great Migration.
